In the first episode of the sitcom, Are You There, Chelsea?, Chelsea finds herself in jail charged with driving under the influence. She decides to pray to her God, Vodka, and almost immediately she is released from jail. Her “judgy, super-Christian sister” has come to bail her out.
Chelsea: I’m really changing things. I even prayed in a holding cell, Sloan.
Sloan: Vodka is not the Lord.
Chelsea: Are you sure? They are both invisible and have a hand in unexplained pregnancies.
